About Synergyle

Synergyle is a daily reaction game. Every day there are five reactions. In each one you see two elements from one category (two countries, two films, two cities, two paintings, two animals) with a few of their properties. You have 30 seconds and one answer to name a third element from the same category that bonds with both as strongly as possible.

How the score works

Every property shown on the cards is a bond that can form. A property counts fully when your element shares it with a card, and half when it is close (a neighbouring population band, a year a few apart). Properties are weighted: a shared continent is cheap, a shared director is dear. Every answer in the list scores between 10 and 100, and exactly one answer scores 100.

The five levels: Inert (barely a bond), Spark, Reactive, Volatile (one of the ten best answers) and Chain reaction, the single 100.

Where the facts come from

Every property comes from Wikidata, the open knowledge base behind Wikipedia. Nobody's opinion is in the score. When the data for a property is missing or unsure for an element, it is left blank, and a blank never costs you points. If you find a fact that looks wrong, the fix is usually one edit on Wikidata; the game picks it up at the next data refresh.

Turkish

Synergyle is in English and Turkish. The language button at the top switches; names from both languages are accepted when you type.
